The CBW 200 is a fully automated testing system specifically designed to measure the bulkiness and fineness of Air Textured Yarn in a single, continuous process.

The CBW 200 supports both laboratory testing and production line quality control. The instrument features automatic yarn handling, built-in calibration functions, and a freely programmable control system. Its compact and robust design allows for flexible installation, while the integrated software enables efficient data management and quick adjustment of test parameters.

Test Method:

• Bulkiness measurement is performed by feeding the yarn at a constant speed into a fixed-volume test chamber, recording the time required to fill the chamber. Fineness is measured using the well-established Automatic Cut & Weigh principle.
• Both tests are completed in one continuous process, including automatic yarn threading and automatic yarn removal. The system is designed in accordance with ASTM D6587, ensuring accurate and highly reproducible test results.
