The latest cooperation project of the Ahlstrom brand, exclusively distributed by our company in the Greater China region: Test Paper – Seed Germination Test Paper.

Ahlstrom produces non-toxic paper for the seed testing industry and agricultural research laboratories. These papers are made from pure cellulose fibers, possessing sufficient strength for testing requirements, and are free from any substances that could affect seedling growth.

Most products are available in sheets, discs, and rolls. Our absorbent papers come in a variety of basis weights and surface treatments to enhance observation clarity and maintain the required moisture content for testing.

Creped Absorbent Papers

Types 8001 and 8002 are thin, tan-colored creped papers primarily used for seed germination testing. Since they are unbleached, their tan color is the natural color of the pulp.

Type 8002 weighs approximately twice as much as Type 8001, thus absorbing and holding more liquid.

Absorbent Papers

Type 939 is a white paper with a rough, soft texture.

Blue absorbent paper is also available to provide a colored background, with a slightly stiffer surface texture.

Type 628 is a medium-weight absorbent paper with a firm, smooth surface, in a natural tan color.

Folded Paper Strips

Types 1765 and 1766 are most commonly used for coated seeds, medium-sized, and large seeds.

Both products are available only in folded form, with a width of 110 mm, featuring 50 sets of dual creases that can be opened along the length of the strip.

Type 1765 is white; Type 1766 is dyed gray to improve visibility of fine root systems.

Fluorescence Testing

Type 601 is a smooth-surface white filter paper, particularly suitable for observing and testing the appearance of seeds and root systems under fluorescent light.
